Collection: North American Flags
North American country flags not only include the well-known US flag and the Canadian flag with its iconic red maple leaf - they include more than 28 flags representing all countries on the North American continent as well as the Caribbean.
The Flag of Saint Lucia features a central yellow triangle in front of a white edged black arrowhead on a sea of cerulean blue. You could be forgiven for wanting to ‘boldly go where no man has gone before’ when considering the flag of this small Caribbean island, but rather than Star Trek, the triangles represent the Pitons - twin volcanic cones on the South Western part of the island. The blue symbolises sea and sky surrounding the island, yellow for sunshine and prosperity, while the black and white are symbolic of the harmonious racial relationships.

Of all the North American country flags, the US flag is one of the most recognisable symbols in the world. Also referred to as The Stars and Stripes; The Red, White, and Blue and The Star-Spangled Banner, it was originally adopted in 1777.
27 versions later, the US flag we recognize today consists of thirteen horizontal stripes, seven red, alternating with six white - the stripes representing the original 13 colonies, and 50 stars for the 50 states of the Union.
With their fascinating diversity and history, North America’s flags are worth a look!
